It’s only been about a week since launch but I found a few places that had Nintendo 3DS systems used. There are places you can get them new, but that’s still pretty rare around these parts. Because of this I was surprised to see used systems out there today in Tokyo.
Shibuya’s big ol’ Tsutaya had these two black 3DS systems available today (shown above). There’s really nothing in the way of a discount for getting a used one, but that’s to be expected considering how hard they are to come by. You’ll save about $3 by buying used. Hmmph. It’s all fair as signs posted in the store say that they’re giving 22,000 yen for used systems. That’s pretty good considering that they cost 25,000 yen new.
Also, “Used Plice.” HAHAHAH!
I saw a used blue 3DS at Shibuya’s Mandarake today, but they hiked that thing up to 30,000 yen, or about $60 above the new cost. Dicks.
Used games aren’t that hard to find either. Yes, already! As you’ll see in the gallery below, I found every launch game on sale. I was pleased to see that there was only one copy of the Nintendogs + Cats version that features the corgi. That means that only one person was stupid. There are a lot of the other crappy versions.
I almost bought a used copy of Ridge Racer 3D, but I played it a bit more at the demo kiosk and realized how crappy it was. No wonder people have traded it in already.
