A sequel to AeternoBlade is in the works for the 3DS and Vita

Still an eShop-only game

AeternoBlade may have had issues, but I found it to be a fun little action game for the 3DS eShop when it was released last year. Thankfully, developer Corecell Technology has announced that a sequel is in the works, which will see the return of Freyja, the heroine from the first game, as well as a new character — Bernard.

Gameplay seems to be following a similar Metroidvania baseline, with the added ability of a new time manipulating mechanic. It will drop sometime in the second quarter of 2016, with the 3DS as the core platform, followed by a Vita release (just like the first game).
