Former Rare developer drops hints
In recent months, there’s been talk of Rare “building a uniquely Rare game,” but that’s as much as we’ve gotten — talk. While I’m looking forward to seeing if that project comes to fruition, Playtonic has more of my attention right now with its Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor Project Ukulele.
Speaking to The Guardian, Playtonic studio head Gavin Price said he still keeps up with his former employer. ” I know what [Rare was] working on when I left last year. It sounds really good.”
Whatever it is, “people will be really happy to see it.” Battletoads? Perfect Dark? Viva Piñata?
It’s not going to be Viva Piñata; I just know it. And now I’m sad as a Cocoadile.
