The official website for Shin Megami Tensei IV has been updated today with three new videos that show off battle gameplay for the first time. Head over to the site’s System page and click any of the three boxes marked “new” near the bottom of the page to see the game in action.
The Press-Turn battle system is shown off in these videos, with a standard battle being shown in the first one.
The game’s new “Grin” feature making an appearance in the second one. You’ll see Rangda deflect an attack, which gives it a grin advantage for the next round. It then uses Megaton Blaze to hit each enemy with over 500 points of damage.
The last of the three is just a tease of a big boss battle. Really digging the music in that one.
I used to get so nervous every time new news came out about SMTIV. But now that it’s been announced for North America, I can sit back and enjoy.
