Oogie Boogie’s fifth week of shenanigans has taken over the island, which means it’s once again time to dive in and set things straight in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This time around, you’re tackling the Let the Games Begin quest.
In this mission, you’re challenged to take on a series of different games, which makes it feel like a bunch of separate mini quests to tackle. As far as his missions go, this is certainly one of the trickier ones to work through, so here’s a complete walkthrough for the Let the Games Begin quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to complete Let the Games Begin in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To complete the Let the Games Begin quest so you can get one step closer to unlocking Oogie Boogie, you need to craft a genuinely Lucky Wheel and play four minigames to earn all four Oogie Boogie Tiles so you can complete the Tile Mini Game Station. There’s quite a lot to get done in this one, so here’s a full breakdown of how to fully finish it.

Complete all prerequisite quests
To unlock the Let the Games Begin quest, you first need to ensure all necessary prerequisites have been finished. This is the fifth mission in Oogie Boogie’s quest unlock series, which means the four quests that come before it must be finished before you can get going on it. You also need to have Zero unlocked. All of the tasks you must have done are as follows.
- Complete the Halloween Invasion quest.
- Complete The Oogie Boogie Contract quest.
- Complete The Ghost in the Portrait quest.
- Unlock Zero.
- Complete the Rescue Mission quest.
Once all of these key tasks are finished, head to any mailbox you have placed around your valley homes to get started with the Let the Games Begin quest.
Craft a Genuinely Lucky Wheel
Open the letter in your mailbox to start the Let the Games Begin quest and claim a Lucky Wheel Cog. Then, grab the six Lucky Wheel Cogs you previously picked up during the Rescue Mission quest. Head to any crafting station to combine these items into a Genuinely Lucky Wheel. Head into the Mirror Lair and chat with Oogie Boogie to show off your creation.
Play each minigame
At this point in the quest, it breaks off into four smaller mini missions you need to get done. For each one, you must successfully play and navigate through Oogie Boogie’s minigames around the Mirror Lair.
Try your luck at the Genuinely Lucky Wheel
Oogie Boogie’s wheel is finally not rigged against you, so approach and interact with the Genuinely Lucky Wheel for the first minigame. Spin it a total of five times to obtain an Oogie Boogie Tile from a chest that spawns nearby.
Locate the Hidden Smiles
Next up, you must embark on a scavenger hunt around the Mirror Lair to locate five Hidden Smiles. The precise locations of each one are as follows.
- On the stack of dice close to the Lucky Wheel. Head up the stairs on the left side of the room and check out the dice near the enclosure on your left to spot this one.
- On a skeleton near the Lucky Wheel. Head inside the enclosure right behind the stack of dice where you found the last Hidden Smile. Look at the skeleton inside this area to spot the next one.
- On the Whack-A-Pumpkin wall. On the second floor, enter the Whack-A-Pumpkin game enclosure. Look at the wall to find another Hidden Smile.
- Near the skeleton by the top of the right staircase. Go up the stairs on the right side of the Mirror Lair and look right as soon as you reach the top to spot this one.
- On the nightmare clock. Head up to the back right corner on the second floor to find a clock sitting in the shadows. Check it out to find the Hidden Smile.
Fish in the Lava Pond
For the third minigame, head over to the Lava Pond in the middle of the first floor. You’ll find five fishing ripple spots in the pond. Fish from each one until you manage to catch the Oogie Boogie Tile.
Play some rounds of Whack-A-Pumpkin
The fourth minigame tasks you with tackling some more rounds of Whack-A-Pumpkin, which can be found in the center region on the second floor. To get this task done, you must break a total of 10 Pumpkins.
The Whack-A-Pumpkin game can be triggered using the lever on the column right outside of it. You can play as many rounds as you like, so make sure you’re keeping track of how many Pumpkins you’ve smashed so you know when you’re done.
Gather all of the Oogie Boogie Tiles
Each of the four minigames grants you an Oogie Boogie Tile as a reward. They all spawn in specific locations, though, so you need to make sure you gathered all four Oogie Boogie Tiles.
- The Tile from the Lucky Wheel minigame spawns right by it.
- The Tile from the Hidden Smiles minigame spawns in the enclosed area at the top of the left staircase, which is where you found one of the Hidden Smiles earlier on.
- The Tile from the Lava Pond minigame is caught by you and immediately added to your inventory as soon as you locate it.
- The Tile from the Whack-A-Pumpkin minigame spawns near the entrance of the game area, close to the lever.
Once you have all four Oogie Boogie Tiles, place them in the Tile minigame.
Speak to Oogie Boogie
After successfully collecting all Oogie Boogie Tiles to complete the Tile Mini Game Station, meet up with Oogie Boogie to chat about how the games went. The Mirror Lair seems to be breaking, so although the Let the Games Begin quest ends here, there’s still more work to be done in the future before Oogie Boogie will finally join your valley.
