Oogie Boogie’s mayhem can be quite tricky to work through, so it’s easy to end up stumped and struggling to progress on any part of this journey. To help you successfully navigate through all of it, here’s a complete walkthrough for The Oogie Boogie Contract quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to complete The Oogie Boogie Contract in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To complete The Oogie Boogie Contract quest, a key step for unlocking Oogie Boogie, you need to meet up with Oogie Boogie again, clear away some Ghosties, obey or defy Oogie Boogie with some decorating, and cook up a frightening dish. It’s a pretty complex task, so here’s a full breakdown of how to get it all done.

Complete the A Halloween Invasion quest

Before you can start The Oogie Boogie Contract quest, you first need to have fully finished the A Halloween Invasion mission. All of Oogie Boogie’s quests must be completed in order.

Accept the Lucky Wheel Ticket in your mailbox

When you’re ready to get started with The Oogie Boogie Contract quest, head to any mailbox you have placed around the valley. Open the letter titled “Want Another Try?” with the Lucky Wheel Ticket attached to officially get this task started.

Give the Ticket to Oogie Boogie to spin the wheel

Next up, visit Scrooge McDuck’s shop and head through the Strange Mirror to access the hidden lair where Oogie Boogie hangs out. Walk over to him near the wheel on the second floor to give him the ticket you found in the mail so you can spin the wheel.

Then, interact with the crank on the right side of the wheel to spin it. Talk to Oogie Boogie once the wheel stops spinning to learn what comes next.

Equip the Ghost Lantern and wear one of the Masks

Turns out, Oogie Boogie has tricked you into accepting a magical contract to do his bidding. To progress, you now need to equip the Ghost Lantern you received and wear one of the masks Oogie Boogie previously gifted you. This includes the Lock Mask, the Shock Mask, and the Barrel Mask.

Run through Ghosties while holding the Ghost Lantern to collect them

With the Ghost Lantern equipped, explore Oogie Boogie’s lair to find and collect three ghosts. There’s one on the same level as him, and the other two are down on the ground floor.

Run at each one while holding the Ghost Lantern to collect them all. You can only see the ghosts while holding the lantern, so make sure you keep it equipped at all times to progress here.

Return to the valley

Once you’ve tracked down all three ghosts, exit the Strange Mirror and return to the main valley area. Head outside Scrooge McDuck’s shop to unlock the next step in this quest.

Choose how to decorate the valley

For the next part of this mission, you’re tasked with completing some decorating in your valley. You can either obey or defy Oogie Boogie’s demands for this task, so what you need to do varies depending on whether you want to go along with his scheming or do the opposite of what he asks. For this step, you must either:

• Obey Oogie Boogie and decorate using five Halloween-tagged furniture items.
• Defy Oogie Boogie and decorate using five cute-tagged furniture items.

On the Furniture page, click on the first Oogie Boogie quest icon to find Halloween items and the second quest icon to find cute items. Place down a total of five in either category to move on to the next step.

Visit and speak to some villagers

You now need to track down and speak to some villagers around the valley to release the ghosts you captured earlier around their homes. All of the locations you need to visit and characters you must chat with to progress are as follows:

• Mickey in Mickey’s House.
• Merlin in Merlin’s Library.
• Remy in Remy’s Restaurant.

Chase down a loose Ghostie

When attempting to release the third Ghostie inside Chez Remy, it goes rogue. Chase it down in the restaurant to capture it before it can cause any harm. Then, chat with Remy about the situation. Return to Oogie Boogie’s lair through the Strange Mirror and chat with him to progress.

Cook Snake and Spider Stew

Next up, you need to cook some Snake and Spider Stew for Oogie Boogie. Follow Oogie Boogie over to the bubbling green cauldron on the first floor inside the Strange Mirror realm to find some ingredients sitting out on the nearby table.

On the wall close to it, there are some hints to help you figure out this dish:

Substitute Snake and Spider Stew,

First eggs, just a few

Then something mushy and soft to chew

And last: a stand-in for snakes will do.

The second line of this riddle directly tells you to use Eggs, so you know to grab this ingredient. The third line calls for “something mushy and soft to chew,” and out of the options you’ve got on the nearby table, only Banana makes sense. The final line requires a “stand-in for snakes,” which can only be Seaweed.

With this riddle now solved, you know to grab the following items for this dish:

• One Super Salty Seaweed
• One of Oogie Boogie’s Eggs
• One Mushy Banana

Once you’ve got all three, toss them into the nearby cauldron to cook up the Snake and Spider Stew. Bring this dish over to Oogie Boogie to officially finish The Oogie Boogie Contract quest.
