Helldivers 2 next Warbond: When is the next Warbond coming out?

What should we expect in the coming months?

As devoted players finish the current Warbond in Helldivers 2, there then comes the question of when the next one is coming. Since there are resource caps in the game, we don’t want to max out just for our spoils to be all for naught.

With that said, these are the important tidbits of information you may want to have with the next Warbond coming to Helldivers 2 and how to prepare.

When does the next Warbond come out in Helldivers 2?

Reportedly, a new Warbond is to be released every second Thursday of the month. This has proven to be true so far from previous Warbonds. So, with that being the constant, we can expect the new one to come out on May 9, 2024.

In order, these were the release dates of the previous Warbonds, including the launch day ones:

  • Helldivers Mobilize! (Feb. 8, 2024)
  • Steeled Veterans (Feb. 8, 2024)
  • Cutting Edge (Mar. 14, 2024)
  • Democratic Detonation (Apr. 11, 2024)

What to expect in the next Warbond

If the past Warbonds are any indicator of what to expect in the upcoming ones, you should expect the following:

  • 3 new primary weapons
  • 3 new armor sets
  • 3 capes
  • 3 victory poses
  • 3 player cards
  • 1 new secondary weapon
  • 1 new grenade
  • 1 new booster
  • 300 Super Credits

Other things like new Stratagems and Ship Modules come out at different times, sometimes by accident or with little warning.

How to farm Medals for Warbonds

Since Warbonds require Medals to progress through them, your best bet on farming for them is to play missions on higher difficulties.

A successful operation on Helldive difficulty (9) will net you and your allies a minimum total of 33 medals. This doesn’t include the chance of finding a few extra Medals in the middle of your missions, completing Personal Orders, or completing Major Orders.

But it is highly recommended to complete your dailies and add towards the progression of the Major Order to get a huge boost of Medals.

What is the Medal cap in Helldivers 2?

The Medal cap in Helldivers 2 is 250. If you gain anything beyond that, they will be lost. They aren’t retroactively granted to you like experience points were when the level cap increased.

Spend your Medals as soon as you start nearing 250. You’ll maximize gains and prevent missing out on spending them.

How to prepare for the next Warbond

To add to what we know above, maintain your Medal count at or as close to 250 as possible when the second Thursday of the month comes around. That way, when or if the new Warbond is released, you can buy out enough items in it to get you close to the third page.

A typical Premium Warbond takes around 650 to 700 Medals to fully complete, so having close to or exactly 250 Medals will greatly boost you on the new update day.
