Once you make your way to the Notre Dame location in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, you’ll come across the massive Piano (or the Organ). This is tied with a secret that helps you unlock the War and Famine.
In this guide, I will provide you with an easy solution for this puzzle.
How to solve the Organ puzzle in Notre Dame in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

First, you need to reach the location I have marked on the image above. Here, you’ll come across a cryptic piece of text that reads as the following: Beneath these stairs lies our order’s greatest sin.
Next, head to the Stained Glass Gallery. The spot is marked on the map, so there’s no problem to access the area. If you notice the glass windows, you’ll find two interesting things.

- Each window has a horoscope sign on top.
- Each window also has candles at its base. The number ranges between one and nine.
Take a note of two important things: the zodiac and the number of candles under each. The numbers will be completely random.

Now, head back to the Zodiac Organ and start playing the notes. How do you play the notes? On the Organ, you’ll find the zodiac signs available as a keystroke. You have to press them at the exact order as the number of candles you saw.
First, step on the zodiac that has one candle. Then, step on the symbol that has two, and keep working your way up to nine. If you press a wrong key, you’ll need to start from scratch.
Once solved, follow the left of your screen, and you’ll find a secret path that will lead you to the Legendary War and Famine weapon.
