GameStop tentatively prices 3DS games at $49.99

3DS games look pretty good, but do they look fifty bucks good? GameStop certainly seems to think so, as the retailer’s penciled in a $49.99 price tag for two of the better known 3DS titles, Dead or Alive: Dimensions and Samurai Warriors Chronicles

The other games on the list are $39.99, which is more in line with the PSP’s game price structure. It may indicate that the higher a game’s profile, the more publishers will charge for it, which seems to happen quite a bit with the DS already. You’ll note that GameStop also puts a date on these games, with the earliest titles down for March 15 and everything else for June.

Of course, this is all placeholder information, with nothing official yet. GameStop is often more savvy than it lets on though, so who knows? At the very least, it throws open the question — how much are you willing to pay for a 3DS game?
