I already feel weird inside thinking about playing Game Gear games on my 3DS. Virtual Console TurboGrafx and others were somehow fine for me, but Game Gear is just…strange. Imagine going back in time to schoolyard playground game company wars to tell kids that Sega portable titles would play on Nintendo portables one day. Little fanboy minds would explode!
Game Gear games hit the Virtual Console on March 14 in Japan. The 3DS will see the release of Shinobi, Sonic, and Dragon Crystal, with each priced at 300 yen (less than $4).
Game Gear is probably coming our way a bit later. Earlier this month we saw the ESRB rate Shinobi and Sonic Triple Trouble.
