E3: Counter-Strike: GO comes to consoles/PC August 21

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will arrive on Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, PC, and Mac, August 21 for $15.

Seven months after the closed beta began, Valve finally has set a date for this much anticipated FPS. Personally, I’ve been looking wherever I can for a beta code, so it makes me happy to know I won’t have to bother for much longer.

For those unfamiliar with this CS sequel, GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of older CS content (de_dust, etc.). In addition, CS: GO introduces new gameplay modes, matchmaking, leader boards, and more. It will also be the first time gamers will be able to play CS on next-gen consoles.

Here’s hoping Valve gets it right across all platforms, especially after the lukewarm Xbox CS port from 2003.
