Comparison: Majora’s Mask 3DS moon is way scarier

Let’s scope how the Majora’s Mask 3DS remake, which has been in development since 2011, compares to the 2000 original. Ninten2TV did the above video, while an Imgur user took these screenshots, three of which are below, the rest of which are at that link.

I’m not sure that the moon is scarier. More aggressive, maybe, with that P.B. Winterbottom nose and widened grin. But it looks less dead behind the eyes, more overtly malicious than unfeeling and unaffected in its horror, as is the case with the original. It almost feels like a different sort of horror.
