Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 arrives with six different classes, and five of them will be available by default. All classes have their unique strengths, and the key is to make a balanced squad to bring the battle to the Xenomorphs.
In this guide, I will help you figure out which classes are slightly OP, and which ones are relatively weak.

Complete Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 class tier list
I have used three different tiers to separate the available classes. I have also gauged them based on their default builds. Unlocking advanced perks will allow you to customize all available classes.
- S-tier classes are a staple for any functional team.
- A-tier classes are useful alternatives.
- B-tier classes require a lot of understanding to be good.
S-tier

- Marauder: The Marauder is the ultimate crowd control class, and you will need one at every difficulty. They have access to some of the biggest weapons in the game that can do a lot of splash damage. The splash damage helps you clear waves of enemies together. While the Marauder’s utility slightly reduces in front of big bosses, they are the best class to have when you are swarmed by enemies.
- Medic: A team cannot survive without a medic in Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2. Whether you are playing at the easiest or hardest of difficulties, you are going to take damage. Having a medic ensures that all your team members survive without dying prematurely.
A-tier

- Duelist: The Duelist is the easiest class to learn the game, as they are the perfect all-rounder. They have decent damage and a lot of customized weapons that suit your different needs. You can also choose to either go with a secondary primary weapon or have increased ammo. As a beginner, you are bound to make some mistakes, and the Duelist allows you to go past them. However, you will need a class with specialized abilities at higher difficulties, which drops the Duelist to A tier.
- Machinist: The Machinist is excellent at controlling spaces and enemy movements with all the different gadgets. However, you’ll need a lot of positional sense to make full use of the abilities of this class.
B-tier
- Hunter: When it comes to solo enemy damage, nobody excels like the Hunter. With their long-range, high-powered rifles and beam weaponry, you can shut down bosses in seconds. However, this is a high-risk, high-reward class that punishes every missed shot. If you master the Hunter class, it easily elevates to the S tier. For now, this will be a B-tier class for most players.
As of writing, I have yet to assess how the Specialist class works. I will be adding my evaluation as soon as I have spent enough time with what it has to offer.
