Bravely Default For the Sequel expansion announced

But it’s not a sequel?

Stupid name for this expansion, but the original game had a stupid name. Who cares? I still want both.

A scan of a new spread in the latest Weekly Jump confirms that Bravely Default For the Sequel will come to Japan. This is an expansion of the original Square Enix 3DS RPG, adding more events and new controls, and things like battle tweaks and more save slots. And speaking of save data, it seems players will be able to use their original game data for this expansion.

Despite the name, this does not sound like a proper sequel.

Bravely Default For the Sequel comes to Japan on December 5, priced at 2,900 yen via eShop and 4,990 for a cart copy.

We know we’re at least getting the original. Hopefully this will follow.
