If you’re into watching anime, you may know that Attack on Titan is the new hotness this season. The story of a bunch of angry kids chopping up funny-faced giants while using weird Spider-Man grappling hooks has captured the minds of many a fan. Unfortunately, the game offerings for the popular series haven’t quite been up to snuff, mainly covered by fan productions and browser-based titles. Until now.

Spike Chunsoft (makers of 999, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, and Conception) are developing an Attack on Titan game for the 3DS, due sometime this year. And that’s about it for information, though additional reveals are promised by September 9th.

If I had a 3DS I’d be pretty stoked, though if you ask me my ideal Attack on Titan videogame would play  a lot like Spider-Man 2 for the PlayStation 2, but with more swords and anime goodness.
