Ah, video game documentaries. Love 'em or hate 'em, you can't argue they're still interesting pieces of film. You know what's even better? Documentary spoofs. And Dorkly's got one that hits a little closer to home than you m...

If the amount of kids screwing around in Minecraft while their doting parents shake their heads going "Oh, those kids and their Minecraft!" and Let's Plays and creepers in popular media isn't enough to tell you how ridiculous...

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 announced as a mobile exclusive

Civilization Revolution was an interesting thing. As it was pared down to function well on consoles, handhelds, and eventually mobile devices, many diehards considered it dumbed down from the roots of the series. Still, it so...

Tormentum sure looks like a messed up adventure game

It seems that both horror and adventure games are in rude health in 2014, so it's no surprise to see a game combine the two. The trailer above is for Tormentum, a new indie point-and-click game from developer OhNoo that has ...

Nolan North returns as the Merc with a Mouth in Deadpool Pinball

Go on a sniping rampage in Hitman Sniper

Square hasn’t been afraid to use the Hitman IP in fun and creative ways. Hitman GO was a critical success for doing something unique, and while Hitman Sniper isn’t on that same scale, it is still at least a ton of fun.

VVVVVV's user-created levels and editor are now free photo
VVVVVV's user-created levels and editor are now free
by Jordan Devore

Designer Terry Cavanagh has release a free version of VVVVVV that features player-created levels and the full level editor. It's called VVVVVVV: Make and Play Edition, and it can be downloaded as of today for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Version 2.2 of the full game is out now, fixing "a bunch of long standing bugs (for example, player level warp lines) and makes the 2.1 changes official (like player maps, colored text in player levels, editor direct mode, etc)." Steam Achievements have been implemented as well, so if you've put in the effort already, expect to unlock a bunch of those at once after updating.

That was far from the only VVVVVV news this week, as Cavanagh also released the game for iOS, Android, and Ouya, in addition to a related minigame called Super Gravitron for mobile. That's free, too! And there's a metal cover album for that special someone in your life.
