Even though it has been a few weeks since E3, and most people are still talking about the downfall of Xbox One or how Sony killed it this year, what about Nintendo? Along with the standard Mario platforming bless, two Zelda games will still be dropping later this year, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds with not much information shared about either.

During this past E3, Wired conducted an interview with series Producer Eiji Aonuma about working on Wind Waker again, creating for the 3DS as well as some of challenges that his team faced over his last 10 years with the franchise. Aonuma also describes, in patented Nintendo vagueness, their work on the brand new yet-to-be-named Zelda for the Wii U.

It is a great interview with Aonuma; I especially enjoyed reading about the behind-the-scenes decisions on what made his past Zelda games so special. If you’re a fan of the franchise, do yourself a favor and take the opportunity to learn more about the man who was behind the green cap for the past 10 years.
