Why are we excited about these New 3DS packaging shots?

An informal poll of the Destructoid staff reveals that we’re all senselessly excited for this New 3DS. It doesn’t make sense. None of us need one. We should be mad at Nintendo for having us wanting another iteration. But we’re all stupidly excited for it and it hasn’t even been announced for our territory yet.

I’m even excited by these new box shots from Amazon.jp. Holy hell are the New 3DS boxes cute. The white one is cute as f*ck. Not so much for the LL versions, though. Boring!

Speaking of cute, look at the new cover plates for the New 3DS. I can’t even. I love this one. And I need this mint-colored dock base too.

Oh, and there’s the Nintendo micro SDHC cards.
