The main crew from Five Nights at Freddy’s has landed on the Fortnite island for the seasonal Fortnitemares event, and some of them are hiding around, just waiting to deliver a timely jump scare. One of the tougher characters to find from this collaboration is Bonnie.
The characters from Five Nights at Freddy’s are only around for a limited time, so you’ll want to try to encounter all of them while you can. If you’re struggling to track down this elusive animatronic, here’s where to find Bonnie from Five Nights at Freddy’s in Fortnite.

How to find Bonnie in Fortnite
Unlike some of the other Five Nights at Freddy’s characters, Bonnie doesn’t have a fixed spawn location in Fortnite, and never spawns at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Instead, he pops up randomly all around the island, which means you have a chance of encountering him while exploring lots of different places.
Bonnie is more of a mini boss than a main one, which unfortunately also means he’s not marked with the special boss icon on the map. He could be lurking nearby in the shadows anywhere, and there’s no way to know until he pops out and starts fighting.
When Bonnie moves around, footsteps will be displayed like they are for any nearby player. You can at least use this helpful marker to watch out for him. It only pops up when he moves, though, and he stays completely still a lot of the time, so make sure you’re scanning the area carefully as you explore.

Bonnie location in Fortnite
Bonnie has a total of seven different possible spawn locations. He functions similarly to other standard bosses, except he has even more variety in the potential spots where you can find and encounter him.
This animatronic foe shares all potential spawn spots with Chica, which means you have a shot at randomly encountering either character when venturing to these areas. Here is every location where we’ve run into Bonnie around the island.
- Wandering around the building located at the top lift attached to the ski lift at Lifty Lodge.
- Inside or close to the main building at Chopped Shop near the west end of the island.
- Hanging around on top of or right below the helicopter pad outside at Shaken Sanctuary, close to the northwest end of this POI.
- Inside the greenhouse building located near the northeast end of Shaken Sanctuary.
- In the central building located at Golden Grove.
- Inside the lobby of the car wash situated directly south of Golden Grove.
- Near the pool at the motel close to the end of the island, slightly northwest of Freaky Fields.
Fortnitemares has plenty more to discover once you’re done tracking down Bonnie. Next, you may want to reveal opponents to shield Geno from interference, smash Pumpkin Chests to get a Sprite, and use a Flusher to block Geno from listening to The Order’s message.
