Game Boy Color platformer no longer planned to hit eShop on June 20

The original Shantae will no longer be coming to Nintendo 3DS next week, Wayforward Creative director Matt Bozon has announced. The acclaimed Game Boy Color platformer will now be hitting Virtual Console sometime in July.
In the meantime, those in the mood for some side-scrolling goodness are in luck. Incidentally, WayForward’s Mighty Switch Force 2 launched today for $5.99 as a part of this week’s Nintendo Download update.
