Ultimate NES Remix doesn’t seem all that Ultimate after all

It’s a mix of both Wii U games

A few months ago Nintendo hinted at a new SKU for their NES Remix series — Ultimate NES Remix for the Nintendo 3DS. Many fans were pretty excited at the prospect of a brand new entry in portable form, anxious to see what games would end up on the package.

Now that the game is available in Europe this week the beans have been spilled, as they say, and all of the entries have been confirmed. It’s a mixture of both games, mostly focusing on big-names like Mario and Zelda. Unfortunately, no Miiverse features made the cut, and the Super Luigi Bros. game is out — with a “double-speed” Mario Bros. in its stead.

You can find a full list of the included titles below.

  • Balloon Fight
  • Donkey Kong
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Dr. Mario
  • Excitebike
  • Kid Icarus
  • Kirby’s Adventure
  • Mario Bros.
  • Metroid
  • Punch-Out!!
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels
  • Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
