A couple of retail sites have gone ahead and leaked the Ultimate Edition of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. ShopTo.Net and Amazon both have listings for the updated game which will contain all of the downloadable content that has been released, VIP content, limited edition unlocks, Onslaught Mode and the online-only Battlefield 1943.
As Joystiq pointed out, this may or may not be that great of a deal. Bad Company 2 is currently going for about $40 and with all of this extra content you’re getting, you’ll only be saving about $5 compared to buying the original game, Onslaught mode and Battlefield 1943 separately. Still, it’s nice to have all the content in just one place I suppose.
We’ve reached out to Electronic Arts for the official word on this Ultimate Edition and will report back when we hear back. CVG states that EA has confirmed the Ultimate Edition and we can expect to see it in stores on September 2 in the UK. Anyone looking forward to this?
