Time lapse: Nine Nintendo handhelds battery tested

Oh, yeah, the 2DS is out now!

Recommended Videos

In this pleasant little video from Family Gamer TV, nine Nintendo handhelds are battery tested including the brand new 2DS. The results aren’t terribly surprising — the 3DS line all kick off fairly close to one another, at around three to four hours of maximum screen brightness — but those Mugen batteries come off looking like champs. I hadn’t even heard of them before.

The video also serves as a reminder that the Game Boy Advance SP was a tremendous system, though that’s probably something you all don’t forget. Too bad they couldn’t dig up a Game Boy Micro for the test. There’s always next time.
