After hearing some hubbub about “extending the Year of Luigi in 2014” from Nintendo of America, Iwata has made it officially official worldwide this morning on the latest Nintendo Direct — the celebrations will continue into the upcoming year!
Whether or not this involves more Luigi games outside of Dr. Luigi is unclear, but Iwata says to check Club Nintendo “sometime in 2014” for more information on the special Luigi statue, pictured above.
