Well, this is the wildest form of GTA 6 marketing that isn’t really GTA 6 marketing, but it’s pretty obvious.

In a new social media post, Xbox has revealed the Xbite: an Xbox Series X console in the shape of an alligator, set to the tune of electronic music that clearly evokes both the Florida inspirations and soundtrack vibe of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6.

But since Sony has a marketing deal with Take-Two Interactive that says “GTA 6 plays best on PS5″ or something similar, this is what Microsoft came up with. And while the promotion doesn’t mention GTA 6 in the slightest, it’s quite obvious what they were going for here.

Xbox’s terms and conditions were quick to point out that this gator is “a custom fabrication” and “no actual alligators were used or harmed in the making of this console,” which is good to know, at least. The gator looks like it swallowed an Xbox console whole, and its mouth is conveniently shaped to hold an Xbox controller, but it looks like you’ll need quite a bit of mantle space if you want to display this big bad boy in your entertainment center.

The “Xbite” is a custom one-of-one that can be won via sweepstakes entries in the US only, and it has an approximate retail value of $799, which is the same exact price as a normal Xbox Series X|S in the US right now, so I’m not sure where the value of the gator actually comes in.

To enter to win the gatorbox, you can post a hashtag on Twitter/X, Instagram, or TikTok, and the big thing will ship out about eight weeks later, which means you might have already beaten GTA 6 by then. But hey, if you’re big into gators or animal paraphernalia, maybe this is like the best thing you’ve ever seen, so it won’t matter.
