Every time a giant zombie horde appears in The Walking Dead, my wife can’t help herself when quoting “every day I’m shamba-lin‘”, sometimes with zombie arm motions to boot. I’m a lucky man. But not everyone in the world can be so blessed, because despite my luck, said zombies won’t be shuffling on the sea floor over to the AU: the good ol’ Aussie classification laws have interfered with the console release of Telltale’s The Walking Dead game series.

Sealing the deal, the blokes at Telltale issued this statement, “Sorry, but due to the OFLC ratings laws in Australia and New Zealand, and the fact that this is a mature game, we do not currently have plans to release the game there on consoles.”

Funnily enough, according to a number of readers, the game is out on Steam, no strings attached. Whatever the case, I guess it’s time to put another violent console game release on the barbie! But hey, it could be worse: the game could have the TV show version of Carl in it.
