The LEGO Movie Videogame announced for everything

Of course that’s what they’re calling it

In today’s universe-imploding news, TT Games is working on a new LEGO title based on the upcoming The LEGO Movie which, if you haven’t seen the trailer, essentially looks like a big-screen adaptation of the studio’s games. The LEGO Movie Videogame is set for next year on current- and next-gen platforms: Wii U, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, 3DS, and PS Vita.

Similar to the film, the game’s story will revolve around an average minifig named Emmet who has to save the world despite the fact that LEGO Batman is, like, right there, guys! Details are basically non-existent at this point, but TT Games says there will be 90 characters inspired by the movie, which hopefully means this will play like an absurd mash-up of LEGO characters based on popular culture. As far as adaptations go, there’s reason to think this might turn out okay. I hope it does!
