Tekken! It’s coming to the 3DS as well and holy crap it looks gorgeous, even in 3D! All the action on the top screen for Tekken 3D Prime Edition is done in 60 frames per second so the action looks very fluid and crisp. As for the bottom screen, Namco is taking a page from Capcom’s book by setting four touch buttons to perform quick and easy combo attacks. The four touch screen buttons may even be customizable by the player, but Namco hasn’t settled on whether they’ll allow users to create custom attacks in the final game.

The fighting mechanics are exactly what you would come to expect for a Tekken game, so no surprises there. What was surprising was that there were 40 selectable fighters. All of the iconic characters were present. Jin, Kuma, Nina, Mokujin, Jack, Heihachi, Law and so much more. Prime Edition will also have two-player local play, but Namco wasn’t able to confirm Wi-Fi play.

Tekken 3D Prime Edition will be out February 2012 and best of all, the game will also include a 3D version of the Tekken Blood Vengeance CGI movie.
