TGS: EA announces My Garden for Nintendo 3DS

At its showcase in Tokyo today, Electronic Arts has announced a new title for the Nintendo 3DS called My Garden.

It’s what it sounds like, a 3D simulator “inspired by nature” where players will plant and grow hundreds of flowers in their very own garden. The game will feature six environments to cultivate your flowers in, including nighttime roof, Japanese, and desert gardens.

Players will be able to explore their gardens in full 3D, even whistling into the 3DS microphone to attract birds. The game will be hosted by an adorable Tanuki (a Japanese raccoon dog), who will help amateur botanists learn to become expert gardeners. My Garden will feature photo challenges, where players will be scored on their work, unlocking new outfits for the Tanuki, including a butterfly costume.

My Garden launches globally alongside the Nintendo 3DS. Whenever that is, for now, is anyone’s guess.
