Ah, Lunar. It still stands in my top ten game series of all time. I fell in love with the old Sega CD versions way back in the day, fell in love again with the fantastic PlayStation versions, and now I’m ready to replay one of my favorites on the PSP in its revised form, now called Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star.

What we have here is the first ten minutes, intro and all. If you’ve played the game before, you’ll remember all the anime cutscenes and character introductions. These are all here, and most of that looks the same. The town’s a bit different, though. Better looking, I’d say.

Of course, this is in Japanese, coming from a demo released in Japan. I’d say we’re a ways away from a US demo, but you never know. Look for my full impressions of the demo tomorrow.

[“Ten Minute Taste” is something new we’re trying here at Destructoid. Simply put, we’ll rip the first ten minutes of a game to video — loading screens, warts and all, no commentary to sway you in any direction — so you can judge it and experience it exactly as you would when you first pop the game in. Let us know what you think.
