Going deeper underground

4A Games has released a neat cinematic trailer for their upcoming dystopian shooter Metro Exodus. In the four-minute epic, series protagonist Artyom experiences a vision of his life within the post-apocalyptic universe that he, his loved ones and his enemies inhabit.

Using a Russian Doll motif, Artyom is segued through scenes of his past, present and perhaps future, some of it stylised, some of it depicted with the harsh cold of reality. Babies in gas masks, train-top shootouts and terrifying mutant-filled bunker, Artyom might have dreamed of a life above ground, but this reality has fast become his waking nightmare.

Metro Exodus launches February 15 on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
