When you’re doing all of your community Game of the Year votes I hope you don’t forget Shovel Knight. It’s what I’d consider a modern classic, and an example of how retro games still aren’t out of style, and can be done right. Capcom should take note.
In terms of sales the game is doing quite well too, as Yacht Club Games has tweeted out that Shovel Knight has broken the 300k sales mark. Since it’s all digital, this isn’t a “shipped” boast!
I wonder how well it would have sold with the massive install base of the PS3 and Xbox 360 on top of its existing platforms.
