Finally!
If you haven’t heard, there are three Shantae projects in the works by WayForward — two new original games, and a PC port of Risky’s Revenge. One of those new games, Pirate’s Curse, is set to his the 3DS at some point, and according to their Kickstarter, it’s “nearing the finish line.” We’ve been waiting a while for this one, so that’s good news.
Elsewhere, Risky’s Revenge is a go for Steam, and apparently this will be a “Director’s Cut” of the game, taking the “best parts” of the original game and bits of the iOS version to make it the “best version yet.” The other new game, Half-Genie Hero (which will arrive on just about every platform ever), is still in production, and is moving along “nicely.”
Shantae is WayForward’s bread and butter, quality wise, and it seems to be what they do best. I can’t wait to try out Pirate’s Curse.
