Seaman for 3DS is happening, reports Nikkei

Back when the creator of Seaman dropped a hint that the game might make it to 3DS, I wasn’t sure what to think. It’s easy to get your hopes up these days. As reported by Nikkei (via andriasang), Nintendo is looking to bring back games from other publishers to the 3DS, including Seaman.

It sounds as if this game was used as a brief example and that’s about it as far as details are concerned. Still, this is a nice step up from what we had heard previously.

For me, Seaman has almost taken on the form of an urban legend. I’ve always been intrigued by the premise, but not quite enough to seek out a copy and pull my Dreamcast out of storage. A 3DS version, on the other hand, would be difficult to resist.
