Warm up your network card, Sony has announced their offerings for their “Essential” Tier offerings for all PlayStation Plus subscribers. Free for the month of April will be Sackboy: The Big Adventure, Meet Your Maker, and Tails of Iron.

Beginning with Sackboy: The Big Adventure, this 2020 LittleBigPlanet spin-off was described as Destructoid’s resident snack-cake, Chris Carter, as a “chill platformer.” It ditches the creation suite that was such a focus of the LittleBigPlanet games to instead create a unique and charming platformer.

Next up is Meet Your Maker from Behaviour Interactive. This title is currently unreleased, so it you’ll be able to grab it free on its launch date if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber. Behaviour Interactive describes it as a first-person build and raid game. It has a co-op and base-building focus, so it’s something to grab if you need a game to share with a friend. If you have one.

Finally, Tails of Iron is a Souls-like action-RPG, that Destructoid’s resident tough-lad, Chris Moyse, described as one of the most distinctive RPG experiences of 2021.

There’s nothing on this list that strikes me as something I need to download and play right away, but they’re all welcome additions to the library. Sackboy and Tails of Iron are both well-loved titles, while Meet Your Maker still needs to prove itself in the crucible of opinion.

Sackboy: The Big Adventure, Meet Your Maker, and Tails of Iron will be available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers on April 4, 2023 until May 1.
