Ring Fit Adventure continues to sell out when quarantined people need it more than ever

We’ve been reporting on the worldwide shortages of Ring Fit Adventure for months now, but it seems like demand has hit an all-time high due to the “social distancing” suggestion as a way to help combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In other words, exercising at home is the only option for a lot of quarantined countries.

Stock is so low now that even the US has been impacted, and Nintendo has confirmed to Polygon directly that “the Ring Fit Adventure game is selling out at various retail locations in the Americas…we are working to provide more units as soon as possible and apologize for any inconvenience.” It’s not just demand that’s being impacted by COVID-19, but potentially, future supply.

Having picked the game up at launch, I’m more than happy with it, especially given the current situation. If you do own a Switch and manage to come across one, it might be worth a shot. It’s gotten so popular that it was just featured in Super Smash Bros., and our own community has been sharing their success stories.
