YouTuber rickonami is back in the saddle with an HD-ified intro remake of arcade / SNES shmup U.N. Squadron. Compared to his ridiculously amazing Star Fox video, it’s not as polished, the unfortunate outcome of being on a rushed timetable. Nonetheless, his rushed work is leagues ahead of anything I could hope to create.
And listen to the sweet guitar arrangements featured in the video, care of vertexguy and Grospixels. I’m not all that familiar with vertexguy’s work, but Grospixels has long been on my radar. I remember listening to them way back in college! I can’t believe they’re still around kicking up a musical storm!
I never did play U.N. Squadron back in the day, though I don’t see why I wouldn’t absolutely adore as I do most every 16-bit-era shmup. Does anyone else have memories of this game?
