This is probably my top presentation at Nintendo World 2011. According to my crap translation of this video, the game’s developers have reported that Resident Evil: Revelations will feature more a lot more than what we see here. More characters than just Jill and Chris, more areas to explore than the ship (like the snowy area seen in one of the screens in the gallery), and more types of enemies. Even if that weren’t the case, I might still be satisfied.
Just like with Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D, it looks like you’ll have to switch to first person when you shoot, but other than that, everything about this game looks like classic Resident Evil, which is exactly what I want out of the series right now, with an emphasis on the “right now”.
That’s my only misgiving about this game. Technically, it could have come out a long time ago on another Nintendo console. From my understanding, the 3DS is a little less powerful than the Wii. If that’s the case, then why didn’t this game come out on the Wii already, especially given that Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition reportedly sold nearly two million copies?
I’m excited to play this game on the 3DS, but I’d actually rather play it on my TV, with Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition‘s control scheme, right now.
