Pokémon Home was just updated to support Scarlet & Violet ranked data

Full Scarlet & Violet support is still on the way

The last time Pokemon Home got a major update was all the way back in October, but as of today, version 2.1.0 has hit mobile devices. This February 1, 2023 update addresses Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, but it doesn’t quite add full Home support just yet.

Primarily, it looks at adding ranked battle info in the mix, as well as battle results from Sword & Shield (remember those?!). The catch is that you’ll need to link your Home account to a Nintendo account with data from the newest generation: otherwise you won’t be able to view said data. This is alongside of the typical “other issues/various fixes” vaguery in many AAA franchise patch notes.

As a reminder, full Scarlet & Violet access is still on track for “spring 2023” according to several listings on The Pokemon Company websites. It can’t come soon enough! So far in terms of “off book” Pokemon releases we’ve gotten Charizard, Cinderace, and Greninja: as well as the full evolutionary lines for all three.

Pokemon Home version 2.1.0 full patch notes:

  • Added Ranked Battles information from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet to the Battle Data feature.
  • If you’ve linked Pokémon HOME to a Nintendo Account with data from Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, you’ll now be able to view results from your Ranked Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
  • You can view your battle results from Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield by choosing View Past Battle Records.
  • Other issues have also been addressed in order to ensure a user-friendly experience.
