Pokemon Bank launches in North America

Reunited and it feels so good

When Europe and Australia got their Pokemon Bank news yesterday, many of us feared the worst for the app’s release in North America — that silence meant it was still far off. It’s finally here, though, just a day later. Go download it from the 3DS eShop.

If you’ve somehow managed to avoid hearing about the Bank until now, the app can be used for free as part of a 30-day trial before March 14, 2014 and it allows the transfer of Pokemon from Black/White and Black 2/White 2 into X/Y, plus additional storage space. Super useful.

It’s been a long wait after those delays but this is just what I needed to get back into playing X again as someone who primarily plays for collecting purposes. I’ve avoided seeing what the previously-inaccessible Pokemon look like in 3D so it’ll be a nice surprise.
