Mall hit tour
Nintendo is bringing its games to twelve US malls from August 31 to November 3. Aside from games that have already released, like Pikmin 3 and the fabulous Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, you’ll be able to check out Pokemon X and Y (likely the demo I played a few weeks back), The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.
The tour is hitting malls in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Denver, Tempe, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Tulsa, and Kansas City. If you’re interested and around those cities, you can find the exact dates and times here.
You’ll also be able to scope out these same games at PAX, if you’re among the lucky badgers hitting up Seattle this weekend, so maybe that will mall-ify some of you. Anyone going to down some mall-t liquor and brave a trek into a fluorescent wasteland just to play some Pokemon? Do events like that still draw in crowds in the digital age? Perhaps it’s aimed to capture children’s attention, to their parents’ chagrin?
