Pikachu 3DS XL jolts to North America on March 24

Pika!

Good news, everyone! It seems like it’s been ages since we first laid eyes on the Pikachu Edition 3DS XL, but the bright yellow handheld is finally on its way to North America. Nintendo has announced the super-sized portable for release next weekend, March 24, which will come packed with a 4GB SD memory card for $199.99.

Also coming out that day are Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon (our review is coming next week) and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. As a reminder, to sweeten the pot, Nintendo is offering a free game to anyone that picks up a copy of either game and registers it along with a 3DS XL with Club Nintendo before April 30.

Folks that do so will receive a code to download one of the following five titles: Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone, Star Fox 64, or Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations Alive.
