One of 2010’s best games is finally coming to PSN

VVVVVV jumps to PS4, Vita this Tuesday

Terry Cavanagh’s VVVVVV is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita this Tuesday.

The indie platformer was one of my favorite games of 2010, largely thanks to brilliant level design that makes the most of simplistic mechanics by introducing new challenges throughout the journey.

Then there’s the chiptune soundtrack (composed by Magnus “SoulEye” Pålsson), which is insanely catchy and acts as the driving force behind the game, impelling players to press onward even in the face of extreme adversity — something the game delivers in spades with its fierce difficulty.

If you’ve yet to try the game on PC, Nintendo 3DS, or your mobile, now’s a good a time as any.
