Nintendo reveals brand new IP from Grezzo, Ever Oasis

For 3DS

Today at E3, Nintendo unveiled a brand new IP called Ever Oasis, from developer Grezzo (primarily known for the 3DS Zelda ports and The Legend of Legacy). The creative lead, Koichi Ishii, worked on early Final Fantasy games, designed the Moogles and Chocobos, designed the job class system, and worked on the Mana series.

It’s an action RPG with an Egyptian theme, with an emphasis on ally switching and exploration (gathering, too), and light puzzle elements. Building shops is a big part of the game, and you’ll need to keep them stocked so that wanderers can buy more and earn the player cash as the “overlord” of the settlement. You can play as male or female, and the male character seems to be named “Tethu.”

It gives off a real Final Fantasy Explorers vibe, which I dig. It doesn’t look amazing, but another 3DS RPG is great.
