Nintendo of America has hired a spokesdog

They would do such a thing, wouldn’t they? Yes, it’s true — Nintendo of America now has a spokesdog for February, which is Responsible Pet Owners Month. He’s a Jack Russell terrier named Uggie who has also appeared in TV commercials and films, including The Artist.

He’ll be pimping nintendogs + cats, the Pearl Pink 3DS, and trips to the beach. Apparently, Uggie was going to retire, but Nintendo snatched him up before he could start his break.

Long-time readers will know that our love of videogames is rivaled only by our love of animals, especially dogs. I think you can guess which breed we would’ve liked Nintendo to go with. Your move, Sony and Microsoft.
