Nintendo has more New 3DS cover plates

Better late than never in North America

If you’ve been thinking about upgrading to New 3DS but don’t want the XL model, today is the day. The standard New 3DS is out now in North America along with some swappable cover plates.

For the time being, the only way to get the handheld here is to buy it in the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle which is, mmm, $219.99. It comes with a couple of extra face plates, but Nintendo is selling 10 other designs online if you aren’t satisfied with the pack-ins.

They range from $9.99 to $16.99 a piece. That Zelda tax!
