Nintendo Download: Metroid: Other M

Also, Demon’s Crest 3DS

The Wii U actually has several additions today, one new, one port, several Virtual Console games — but hey, it’s something. In addition to the shooter Teslapunk, you can also download Bridge Constructor PlaygroundFire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, and Metroid: Other M.

Other M gets a lot of deserved shit, but if you tune out the horrific story bits (that should have never been there), it’s a decent action game. If you have a lot of free time during this holiday season and feel like making sandwiches or playing Pokemon Sun and Moon during the cutscenes, you’ll enjoy it. Just mute the TV during them and don’t be tempted to watch.

On 3DS you’ll find Galaxy Blaster, Demon’s Crest, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo in physical form — the digital edition was merely a free update for existing users.

If you missed last week’s edition, here it is. As for what I’m getting, I beat Demon’s Crest a couple of times a year, and this portable version will make speedruns much more convenient. For those who are interested, sales are going on for both the Wii U and 3DS.
