Saying “it’s in 3D… without glasses!” can only get you so far. It’s cliché, but seeing really is believing with the Nintendo 3DS. So that’s why Nintendo will be carting “Demo Pods” and “Demo Squads” around the United States starting tomorrow.
If you’re fortunate enough to live in an area with demos planned, you’ll get a chance to play with the built-in 3DS software, in addition to the following games: Pilotwings Resort, Steel Diver, nintendogs + cats, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Madden NFL Football, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, and Asphalt 3D.
The demos will take place in “more than 40 locations in cities nationwide,” but Nintendo has only detailed the demo pods for four: New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. You can find those details after the jump. Folks in the other 36 cities? You’re on your own!
New York City: Grand Central Terminal (Vanderbilt Hall, West Side) – Running March 11-30
- Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
Chicago: Citigroup Center (entrance to Ogilvie Transportation Center) – Running March 11-April 3

San Francisco: Pier 39 (Main Entrance Plaza) – Running March 11-April 3
