Nintendo cuts 3DS AC adapter price ahead of 3DS XL launch

I’m guessing that internet kids are still breathing hard after the near heart attack they had when they heard that Japan’s 3DS LL would not come with an AC adapter. We’re fine here in the U.S., but the rest of the world has to buy a power adapter separately.

At least Nintendo plans to cut them a break on the adapter’s cost. Andriasang reports that the price has been cut for the official 3DS plug, starting July 12. It comes down from 1,500 yen to 1,000 yen, so let’s just say that works out to be the equivalent of $10. That’s not too bad.

Of course, those with a DSi or 3DS can use its adapter to charge up the new 3DS XL.
