Nintendo added as an exhibitor for gamescom 2013

The big show just got bigger

After sitting out 2012, event organizers have announced that Nintendo will be returning to gamescom in 2013. The Germany-based convention is the largest in the world, with more than 275,000 visitors and 600 exhibitors in 2012.

The inclusion of Nintendo is important news for gamescom, as both Nintendo and Microsoft opted to not attend 2012’s show. The convention’s officials have stated that Nintendo’s willingness to be involved is a sign that the gaming industry remains behind gamescom.

Despite the absence of the two console manufacturers in 2012, gamescom still had plenty on display, as almost every major publisher attended. Nintendo and its first-party games will surely add more fire power to the already potent line-up.

gamescom 2013 will take place from August 21-25 in the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
